On Monday, May 22, 2017 our Pre-K children from Charleston Child Care and Learning Center celebrated their greatest accomplishment yet, Graduation! As the children sat draped in their ruby red caps and gowns, tears gathered in the parents’ eyes. The children were now starting to spread their wings as they are prepared for kindergarten. Everyone watched as each child came forward to claim their diploma from Mrs. Mona. We are so pleased that these little ones have been part of our center, and wish them all the best as they start their new journey!
“I am excited, scared and happy to see the little boy my baby has become over the past year. Mrs. Mona’s class was great, and I saw so many positive changes in Jacob. I really enjoyed being able to come into the classroom for the Unit Celebrations each month and see what the class was doing and learning. I would really like to thank Mrs. Mona and Mrs. Vivian for all the hard work they put into helping my baby grow and start to spread his wings.” – Sherri Debord, parent at CCCLC
“Like most mothers, the thought of my baby growing up and starting actual school gives me great anxiety. I would love to just freeze time for a few more years because it goes by so quickly. But, Honestly the teachers, Ms. Mona especially made the year wonderful and lots of fun. She helped Jalen try new things that were outside of his comfort zone. My favorite part of pre-K was the projects that Jalen completed and to see his face and excitement when he was able to share what he did and what he learned. I also love that Ms. Mona gave him all the necessary tools to succeed when he arrives in Kindergarten.” – Sarah Jordan, parent at CCCLC
