Schoenbaum Center Hosting Annual Showcase
Superheroes-themed event to promote healthy living and community engagement
The Schoenbaum Family Enrichment Center will hosted the 3rd Annual Showcase on June 7 and 8. The event, which was open to the public, featured fun, engaging and healthy activities for families and children.
“This event was an excellent opportunity for individuals and their families to have fun, while engaging in healthier activities,” said Krystal Smith, Senior Operations Director of the Schoenbaum Center. “As a center dedicated to improving the lives of our neighbors and the west side, we want to facilitate and promote choices that create stronger families and community.”
The Tenant Showcase kicked off with a public expo from noon to 3 p.m. on June 7 and featured Schoenbaum Center tenants providing a variety of events and activities. During the Kids and Family Expo on June 8, from 5p.m.-7p.m., youth received goodie bags with items such as jump ropes, growth charts, stickers and more. Gift baskets and other items were raffled in limited quantities and included items for the entire family. Numerous community vendors were on hand to offer resources and referrals throughout the two day period.
Throughout the event, giveaways include Bluetooth CD radio, gift certificates for services from Grose Chiropractic and smoke detectors.
